A young engineer, a writer, a kick-boxer, a Chess player, and a social activist. Black hair, Brown eyes, favorite color is blue, favorite food is Pizza. Muslim, Middle-Eastern, non-drinker, non-smoker, single, good listener, and ….... Now wait a minute ! This is not exactly what I was supposed to write in here, is it ?! Let's start over.
Morad was born and raised in a small kingdom named Jordan, he knew ever since he took his first history lesson at school that to be Jordanian is not a nationality, it's a responsibility. At the age of 8 and 9 he participated in a national competition to help reduce Jordan's electric bill and save the planet, he won two years in a row. He edited the wall magazine at his school for many years, fell in love with journalism, and law not so many years later, but he ended up majoring in Electrical power engineering at Yarmouk university. Up to his knees in mathematical formulas and physical laws, Morad did not get over his old love for Journalism, so he worked as a reporter for Yarmouk newspaper, a job that allowed him to meet a diversity of people, and opened his eyes to a whole new world. So he joined AIESEC ( The world's largest student run organization ) right after he interviewed the president of one of AIESEC's local committees, and Joined KAFA ( An initiative to increase traffic safety ) after covering one of it's workshops. A few years later, he was invited to a small cafe, where he sat down with 7 people from 4 different religions, they filled up an application, and hence NaYA CC was brought into existence. To blow some self-steam, and to correct rumors about him being a “Geek”, he learned boxing, then switched to kick-boxing. Many bunches and kicks later, and one eardrum ruptured, he got his black belt and became listed as a “Lethal weapon”. He now runs a local committee for “Kowat Alrami” an Arabian martial art, and he hopes he can spread the morals and sportsmanship taught by this game. Martial arts were the first thing he learned in his way to become a peacemaker, because the peace he dreams of, is the one of the valiant and the strong not the coward and the weak. As a URI Ambassador he took an oath to do the best he can to promote interfaith harmony and exonerate Islam from the false charges of terrorism and extremism through a project called Islamotopia ( Islam + Utopia ). For the time being he is working on another project called “I spy with my little eye” with the help of some of URI staff and friends, they aim to provide an image of the world that is unedited, unfiltered and uncensored – Kind of like this piece of writing. Please feel free to visit http://1000kalema.org for more details. Morad hates to brag - evidently - but writing in the third person is not helping. He is Looking forward to share a laugh with everyone of you mates reading this.
