Produced by Everest Peace Project CC, this critically acclaimed film about 9 ‘peace climbers’ from different faiths and cultures will premier nationwide on PBS starting October 23. The film will be pre-released on the WORLD Channel, which airs on 124 public TV stations around the country, including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston and Atlanta, and will continue to air for the next three years.

Delicious Peace Grows in a Ugandan Coffee Bean
A film about URI’s Peace Kawomera CC, a group of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Ugandan coffee farmers who challenged historical and economic hurdles by forming the “Delicious Peace” coffee cooperative. Their mission was to build harmonious relationships and economic development, and they are succeeding. In partnership with a U.S.-based fair trade roaster, Thanksgiving Coffee Company, the farmers’ standard of living is improving, peace is flourishing, and their messages of peace and fair wages are spreading to their coffee customers in the US.
The film will air at the United Nations Association Film Festival at Stanford University in Palo Alto CA on October 30th at 5:05PM; and at the Redemtive Film Festival in Virginia Beach, VA on November 12-13.
URI and Bay Area interfaith partners are hosting an exclusive excerpted advance screening of The Calling, a groundbreaking new PBS documentary that charts the lives of seven young people who have been called into the ministry from Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and Protestant faiths. The screening will be followed by a post-screening discussion and facilitated dialogue.
