URI-Asia will hold its 4th International Interfaith Conference on Holy Books in Kerala, India on August 27-29 with participants from all over the world, including Galina Ermolina of the Euro-Asia Cooperation Cirlce in Siberia, one of URI's newest members, and URI Executive Director Charles P. Gibbs. This year's theme is “Holy Books and People of Other Faiths” (How different Scriptures view People of Diverse Faiths). The deadline for submitting papers has been extended to May 30, 2011. In conjunction with the conference, Rev. Gibbs will help inaugurate the new URI International Peace Research Institute (IPRI), also in Kerala, a project spearheaded by URI-Asia to provide research and resources to support peacebuilding work around the world.
