To celebrate the independency day an exiting function was arranged by Global Healing Initiative Pakistan at the Naziran Marry Community Model School (a charity based education institution) on 14th august. The event was presided by Mr., Patras Dewan director of Global Healing while Sr.Salima Charag Gill was the chief guest of this Independence Day celebration. The students of Naziran Marry School participated in the program actively and preformed national songs as well as different tablo shows. A peace rally was also held on this occasion.
While addressing the celebration Mr., Patras Dewan said that 14th august is a memorable day in the history of Pakistan because the nation got freedom on this glorious day and our dear homeland Pakistan emerged on the map of the world. He said that the white color of the Pakistan’s flag shows that religious minorities are also an essential part of the society but unfortunately, they are not treated as equal citizens of the country.

He said that the Christian community participated in the Pakistan movement actively but their struggle for indepanance day is not recognized at national Level
That is why they are being neglected and discriminated due to their religious identification. They are deprived of their basic human right. He demanded the higher authorities of the government that the Christian Community including all other religious minorities should be given proper place in the society and all discriminatory laws against them should be repealed. Sister Salima Gill, A.D Sahil Munir and Pervaiz Akhter also delivered the speeches.
Independence Day Celebration by Global Healing and URI “Freedom is the basic right of all human beings and it is a great blessing of God for us that we are enjoying it as an independence nation of the world. Said Mr., Patras Dewan addressing Pakistan’s 64th Independence Day celebration at A.B.C school Youhanabad Lahore.
This event was organized by Global Healing initiative Pakistan and United religious initiative (URI)
Mr., Patras Dewan said that both organization are working for peace, justice and interfaith harmony. He further told that URI and Global Healing will make joint struggle in future to achieve their aims and objective based on human right issues,
Mr., Yuel Bhatti executive secretary of URI also expressed that Global Healing and URI want to promote interfaith harmony among the people. He said that the real spirit of the Independence Day demands that all the citizens of the country should be treated equally with out any decimation of cast, colour and creed. The students of A.B.C. school performed tablo shows and national songs in this beautifully celebration. Then they have peace walk with Community. They were highly appreciation by the audience.
