6th September was celebrated as 8th anniversary day of Shanti Sewa Ashram. Most of the members of Shanti Sewa Ashram, Youth Society for Peace CC, Hindu Vidyapeeth Nepal and other social friends were presented on this auspicious day. This program was started by the Gayatri Deep Yagya. Yagya was done for the better future of Ashram. The Yagya was really divine moment and the colors and light made more vibrant to this moment.
After the Puja we had a formal program. Program was started by lighting the peace lamp and peace prayer. Mr. Kiran Thapa (One of the active members of Shanti Sewa Ashram) gave welcome speech for the program. After that we had small speech by several members of Shanti Sew Ashram and well wishers. Women from “Women Education Program” sang a song regarding women’s empowerment and about their ability. After the song our Guru Dr. Chintamani Yogi ji delivered the speech regarding Ashram’s activity and qualities that individual should posses. He also told that women must be empowered in various ways not only in political sector. Our guru gave us so many ideas and so many mantras which need to be followed in order to have good life.
On this valuable moment, Ms Joan O’Connor (Education Advisor/Consultant, Building Globule Communication for Peace, Australia) was honored as an international advisory of Shanti Sewa Ashram. She was really happy to be honored and she has committed to work further with SSA, HVP and YSP. After the speech all of the visitors were wishing for the Ashram and the works that has been carried out. Program was ended by the Dance which was performed by the children from Children Study Club. Children Study Club is the place where all community children come together and do their study (after their school).
Shanti Sewa Ashram has been organizing literacy class for women (who are residing near to Ashram) for a long time. Beside this various vocational trainings are also been provided. In this especial occasion 5 women were provided certificate for completing 6 months stitching training.
“Nothing is greater than wisdom”. We all must be acknowledged with this phrase because this will help us to know many things and know the essence of life. 8th anniversary of Ashram has been really wonderful moment as everyone joined with us and made this program successful.
