On the occasion of International day of peace the Iraqi youth for dialogue and coexistence CC organized a Peace Camp for the Iraqi Youth. The Camp took place in Bagdad from 20 -23 September 2011 .
More that 100 young people from different faiths, religions and cities from all over Iraq were together in one place to tell the world that Iraq is a place for peace and the Iraqi people want live in peace.
The camp included many voluntary and recreation activities, and the participants planted trees and cleaned and painted a school in Bagdad to send a message from Iraq to the world that they want to rebuild Iraq.
Moreover, the program included workshops, discussion panels, cooking activities and a meeting with Mr. Hussain Al Sader, a well-known Shiaa figure in Iraq.
It’s a message from the Iraqi youth to all young people in all over the world to come and visit Iraq; it’s a message from the country of Tradition and History of Mesopotamia.
May peace prevail in Iraq.
