“Activ8 in Euro-Med” gave young participants from socially and economically marginalized backgrounds the opportunity to take part in group dynamics practice and intercultural workshops – while also playing basketball, riding horses, ice skating and role playing.
The Quested Peace CC joined the Al-Hassan Youth Award program in Jordan and five other civil society building organizations in presenting the session. As with the other organizations, the Quested Peace CC sought to provide a safe place for conflict resolution, healing and reconciliation for all participants, in keeping with the URI Preamble.
After completing the first session, held from Feb. 27 through March 5, participants in the Activ8 program are preparing to take part in two others: a London event focused on social involvement in sports, and a session in Jordan that explores the cultural aspects of traditional sports.
