It is a joy to announce that two new Cooperation Circles were incorporated to our community yesterday.
One of them belongs to a new country in EUROPE REGION: Austria. The name of the CC is URI CC Lienz/Austria – Interreligioses Team Osttirol. Karimah Stauch, Regional Coordinator, announced in her recommendation that as a result of the good work of this group in sharing about URI we can expect other groups to apply from this country. This CC offers as a contribution to all CCs a story about a little owl that can be used as a tool to do interreligious work with children, youth and adults. It has been translated into 41 languages and can be found in www. Kleine-eule.net to print it out, play it as theatre or discuss the questiuon about who created everything.
The other new Cooperation Circle belongs to ASIA REGION and it is located in Sri Lanka. The name of the CC is Inter Religious Initiative for People’s Democracy CC. Abraham Karikham, Regional Coordinator to this part of Asia, shares in his recommendation that they have appointed a coordinator to this country to make it independent in planning and developing in relation to URI and that he believes this new CC will be an asset for URI as it promotes Human Rights and Peacebuilding in a country that has lived in a terrible war for 30 years.
