This year on the last day of July, I turn 60. I remember that this last decade has been full of changes and growth. The one thing that has been constant in my life is inspiration. There are so many of you that inspire me to do what I do and for that I say, "THANK YOU."
On July 28, 2013, I will continue my conversations that were part of The Peace Hour for six years and is now a part of Peace Train America, a YouTube station that is a collaboration of artists who want to show that the world is changing and that we are the change we wish to see. I am hoping that you will join me on July 28th, a Sunday night, for inspiring conversations with 3 unique individuals who have impacted my life. The event is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, but you must RSVP to secure a seat. The event will be streamed as well. More on how to tune in via internet in the next eblast. The title of the event is "An Evening of Conversations with P.K. McCary and Three Millennial Thinking Educators." Some of you may know of my stage and blog persona, the Wacky Peacemaker and my commitment to have these conversations that help us to grow... think. I have had an opportunity to hone my own ideas about peace, while also meeting people who have taught me about peace in the real world. But, the one thing that has influenced me the most is the idea that we should really gauge our deliberations today because they don't just affect the next generation, but the next 7 generations. It is time to think in terms of building blocks that will last and I am meeting people who are doing just that.

Michelle Swain Barnes is a Houston-based artist and educator. She is Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Community Artists' Collective (The Collective), a community-based 501(c)(3) organization that, since 1987, has led change in service to the community through the arts. The mission of Community Artists' Collective is to create, preserve, promote and present for all people evidence of African American cultural traditions, values and aspirations in the natural and built environment. This mission is accomplished through programs of excellence in Education, Exhibition, Community Development, and Entrepreneurship.
Sylvia Bolling is the Executive Director and Founder of the Aldine Y.O.U.T.H. Community Center. Twenty-four years ago, Dr. Bolling’s mission was to plant a seed in her community, which has grown into a Center on 6.8 acres of land that makes accessible over 25 educational, vocational, social, recreational, and spiritual programs primarily to low income youth and their families in a “one stop shop” concept, with a goal of family transformation and healing.
For over thirty years Marilyn Wilhelm has been creating, developing, and implementing an interdisciplinary, intercultural, interlingual Ecumenical Unified Global Curriculum rooted in Universal Cultural Traditions and Standards of Thought. Wilhelm Scholê International has won international acclaim and is recognized as “one of the most respected unified diversity education training programs in the world.” Marilyn Wilhelm has spoken at significant conferences all over the world. Her book, Education: The Healing Art, has been translated in several languages.
