It was surprising to see the amount of enthusiasm of the newly formed Cooperation Circles of URI when the first year celebrations of the Badulla CC was celebrated on the 8th June 2014 at Hali-Ela Divisional Secretariat auditorium. Nearly 200 invitees were present comprising of religious and civil leaders. A fair sprinkling of political representatives was also present. The Chief guest was the Chairman of the Divisional council. Mr.Ravi Kandage Director of Shanthi Sena and Global Council Trustee too graced the occasion. The agenda of the day was to review the work done during the year and plan for the future. The proceedings were conducted in all three languages. It was made an interesting by staging a cultural show. The President and the Committee of the Badulla CC who organized the function had spared no pains to make it a memorable occasion.
