Volunteering for Peace CC in Palestine organized an International Day of Peace (IDP) celebration in the West Bank city of Hebron in Palestine in 2010. The event included Volunteering for Peace members as well as Watan Organization members and volunteers, as well as Palestinian children.
The Ceremony included a celebration, candle light ceremony, and peace songs. Every child lit a candle and made a wish as they wrote on banners, some stating: “May Peace Prevail in Palestine, May Peace Prevail in the World.”
