PCSW&HR is executing the project “Economic Empowerment of Women through Vocational, Life Skills, Cultivation for Kitchen Gardening and Computer Training” at Rawalakot subdivision District Poonch with the collaboration of its counterpart OBOS_Caritas Seoul Korea. Under this project 15 vocational and 10 computer literacy centres have been established. Orientation session was organized for the project staff. Mr. Muhammad Ijaz Noori Chairman PCSW&HR conducted the staff orientation session. While addressing during the orientation session Mr. Noori highlighted the responsibilities and role of instructors to impart the vocational and computer training to their learners at their respective centres. He said that the primary function of a vocational and computer teacher is to impart knowledge regarding the subject.
Although most vocational teachers provide classroom instruction, most of their teaching involves demonstrating skills to their learners. For example, they might instruct students on the safe and proper use of tools, equipment and software. Vocational teachers also instruct students on special safety precautions needed for a particular job, such as how to dispose of bio-hazardous waste. As students begin their hands-on work, teachers assess their progress, offer suggestions and correct any unsafe or poor techniques.
Mr. Muhammad Ijaz Noori also urged the that instructors of vocational and computer centres should also facilitate and guide the women regarding the human rights, women rights, child rights, importance of women to strengthen the democracy, social & religious tolerance, health rights etc.
