Greetings of peace and blessings to you. April 22nd, Hon. Elisha and I joined other participants at the Special Dialogue and Interaction Session with the Regional Episcopal Conference of West Africa (RECOWA)’s committee on Justice, Peace and Development. The theme of the Special Dialogue and Interaction Session was: “Justice and Reconciliation in West Africa, the Way Forward”.

The Dialogue Session was at the instance of the President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) and the Catholic Archbishop of Jos, Most Rev. Ignatius Ayau Kaigama, in conjunction with JDPC, Jos, and Dialogue, Reconciliation and Peace Center (DREP), a Jos, Nigeria- based URI CC.

Participants included several Catholic Bishops, Islamic leaders (including the Chief Imam of Jos), traditional leaders such as the Emir of Wase, a First Class Emir in Nigeria, and leaders of Civil Societies and NGOs, etc.

At the Session, URI was very well represented by myself and the Hon. Elisha Buba Yero, who travelled in to Jos from Kaduna. The Hon. Elisha also gave a Goodwill Message on behalf of URI.

Participants were also very well entertained by the Afizere Traditional Dancers from Jos East, as well as students of the Saint Louis Girls College, Jos.
