One of the outcomes of this seminar was a call by the religious leaders themselves seeking to be trained on climate change so that they can be fully involved in creating the awareness on mitigation and adaptation measures among their followers at places of worship.

The URI global trustee member in Africa, Hon. Elisha Buba Yero, was present at the seminar and shared the need for more Cooperation Circles (CCs) to get involved in passing the message of peace and love for one another and a friendly environment to make the planet safer and healthier for all God’s creatures.

The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Bauchi State promised to distribute tree seedlings through URI to communities in order to ensure people involvement, participation, and ownership for a sustainable peaceful environment.

Its in view of this outcome, "FACIS" as a CC is planning to organize a 3-day workshop in collaboration with other CCs to train religious leaders on climate change in November of this year.
