On February 6, 2016, Palki Peace Cooperation Circle held an event where they made large quantities of food to share with the needy. The group, based in Kolkata State in West Bengal, India, prepared a full mid-day meal of Hotchpotch, potato curry, chutney and sweets for disadvantaged people “irrespective of caste, creed, color or religion.”
Nearly 6,000 people attended the event and took part in the shared meal, which was accompanied with prayers, candle lightings, and resolutions for peace.
