About the "Now Clear Nuclear Project" by Zero Limits CC:
Objective: To raise awareness among children about the catastrophic effects and the negative impact of nuclear weapons. Also, to let them know about URI and its role in peacebuilding.
Procedure: The campaign consists of three phases:
Phase 1: This is an exclusive training on "Anti-Nuclear World," which is a one-hour training. The training session should have visual aids like PowerPoints, videos etc.
Phase 2: This is a campaign OPEN CANVAS. There should be a canvas of 40m length, and the students those who attended the training can lead the activity by writing or drawing on the canvas about their views on nuclear weapons. As it is conducted in the school, the rest of the students who cannot attend the training can also participate in the activity. Thereby, they are being the part of an anti-nuclear weapon campaign. This is a major need of the future generations, because the current students are the ruling hands of tomorrow's world.
Phase 3: This is an exclusive essay-writing competition. The competition will be in schools where we had conducted the training sessions with Open Canvas. The subject of the essay competition is: "Can we consider PEACE as a GOOD WEAPON to replace NUCLEAR WEAPONS? Why?" After collecting the essays from different schools, we will select 3 winners and they will be honoured in a public function of URI.
