URI - América Latina & Caribe (Latin America and the Caribbean region) successfully hosted the second edition of its music festival "A Song for Peace," which celebrated peace in the form of music. Original songs about peace were submitted by 46 songwriters from different countries around the region. From those submissions, 12 were chosen by the public and were presented in the festival from May 12-14, 2017.
The music festival was a wonderful opportunity for like-minded artists to bond and reflect on their contribution to a better world, and for URI Cooperation Circles to come together around a unifying project. The URI regional leadership team collaborated with all of the Cooperation Circles in Brazil, with CC Campinas organizing the festival.
