[08:23] sarah from california, us: when i was with some indigenous elders recently, they shared about the importance of having a sacred fire every day... it puts us in touch with the elements of the Earth and helps us to remember to be grateful for all of life

[08:23] sarah from california, us: welcome Chris! would you like to introduce yourself or share about why you are here?

[08:25] sarah from california, us: yes, please do! sorry you came at a time when there was a lot happening...!

[08:26] Tareq Palestine: Sarah; I have an important note from Islam;

[08:26] Tareq Palestine: The word Earth was mentioned 88 times in the quran due to its importance and its honor and rewarding the holy book of Quran. Quran has revealed absolute facts about Earth in its true perspective some 1400 years ago. This can be a fruit of thought for us.

[08:26] irfan: dear URI friends i am irfan Ali from Quetta Pakistan

[08:26] Dominic333: quetta had the earthquake!

[08:27] Chris14: Yes, I am Christophe from Sukyo Mahikari in Luxembourg, and I am very happy to be and share with you about this crucial theme. I was to join another Youth group on this theme as well, at St Georgen, but I could not at the last time. So I am with you

[08:28] ish: oh Mahikari tradition!

[08:28] Peter Frank Womack: i am working for an organisation whose objective is to build an interFaith city. We want it to be very environmentally sound. Any suggestions as we plan to build from scratch?

[08:28] Dominic333: yes! pray that his town gets better

[08:29] irfan: thanks sarah but the flood is in the villages

[08:29] sarah from california, us: (@chris - you have to send your messages in short bits, just in case you tried and it didn't go through...)

08:30] Chris14: Thank you Sarah. Yes for us, nature is the expression of the Supreme Love of God. As such a wonderful teacher, through which we can learn that everything is diverse, living and in equilibrium.

[08:30] sarah from california, us: @peter - it sounds like the eco-village they are building in palestine might be a good example to you all

[08:31] Francisco: hi all the people! I am Francisco Inty from Argentina

[08:31] Peter Frank Womack: website?

[08:31] Dominic333: is Sukyo the group who

[08:32] Dominic333: I'm from Australia

[08:32] shazia: hi dear all shazia here

 [08:33] Dominic333: como te vas?

[08:33] Chris14: Happy to hear from you Ish. I had wonderful contacts with Shumei members at the Parliament.

[08:33] sarah from california, us: Chris - can you tell us about your agricultural practices?

[08:33] Chris14: I do not know about Byakko Shinko Kai. Can you say?

[08:34] Peter Frank Womack: everybody was at the Parliament and I missed you. i guess there were many people there.

[08:34] francisco: the Topic is very interesting and important, and the young initiative is very healthy for the Earth

[08:34] Dominic333: Yes!

[08:34] ish: it must be the jyorei session you witnessed, Dom

[08:34] sarah from california, us:  it is interesting how many of us were at the parliament... welcome, shazia!

[08:34] sarah from california, us: francisco, quieres compartir porque es importante para ti cuidar de la Madre Tierra?

[08:35] ish: Chris - Byakko Shinko Kai promotes healing of the earth through Divinity IN (mudras) and creating mandalas

[08:35] ish: www.byakko.org

[08:36] francisco: Ok for my indigenous comunity is important because in our tradition -Cosmovision the Earth is part of my body of my life and The Earth is part of the Good Life.

[08:37] sarah from california, us: chris, can you remind up how sukyo mahikari practices caring for the Earth as part of your spiritual practice?

[08:37] Chris14: Agricultural practices : no chemicals, compost ( or "infusion " of compost), very positive attitude from the gardener (gratitude, openess, humility), and give Light to the garden, the energy we transmit by the palm of the hand.

[08:37] francisco: The Aymaras people is one indigenous comunity from Argentina.

[08:38] sarah from california, us: @ Chris - very beautiful, thank you, do you have a website where we can learn more?

[08:38] sarah from california, us: Francisco - congratulations on the Comunidad Cosmica Circulo!

[08:38] Chris14: Yes Sarah, people and nature can prosper together, that is the basics.

[08:39] ish: I also have to go. Almost midnight here. It was nice chatting with you all. Great topic and very inspiring insights.

[08:39] Chris14: sukyomahikari.org or sukyomahikarieurope.org

08:39] sarah from california, us: bye dear friends, thank you for sharing with us!

[08:39] sarah from california, us: Francisco - how was the Inty Raymi festival?

[08:39] ish: Peace! Shalom! Kapayapaan! Aum Shanti!

[08:40] francisco: Thank you Sarah, it is a very important goal in our comunity, because Cosmic Community means the indigenous concept of the Life in our Universo.

[08:40] sarah from california, us: @shazia and irfan - your workshops with youth on peace are so inspiring! thank you all for your courageous work!

[08:41] shazia: we wish to do more than we have done

[08:41] irfan: so for what have u come with about what and how to protect the environment?

[08:41] sarah from california, us: beautiful, francisco... do you see the community as all of life? do you distinguish between your aymara community and others, or is it all one?

08:42] sarah from california, us: shazia and irfan - it would be great to hear from you all about how you see the themes of peace and the environment connected

[08:43] guest9180899: In the Indigenous Cosmovision all comunities have different cultural expression forms, but all feel the life same.

[08:44] shazia: well sarah i think peace and environment is more important for each other and environment with peace is incomplete and Human beings are the one who can sustan this both

[08:44] Chris14: A garden is also beautiful by the harmony of different species

[08:45] Peter Frank Womack: for those that went to the Parliament: did you mostly attend the youth workshops? There seemed to be more networking there than at other workshops.

[08:45] sarah from california, us: Shazia - i was struck by the drawings that you shared with me from the youth - that showed their visions of a peaceful community, and there were so many trees in the pictures!

[08:46] sarah from california, us: @Peter - i went to a lot of youth workshops, yes. but i was wanting there to be even more youth participants. at the last one in 2004 there were many more...

[08:46] Chris14: Youth Workshops were particularly interesting, I experienced. Congratulations again, Sarah!

[08:46] sarah from california, us: thanks Chris...

[08:46] shazia: yah u r right

[08:47] Chris14: So much hope from those workshops!

[08:47] sarah from california, us: dear friends, i must soon leave as well. it was wonderful to share with you all and to see how many are interested in this topic. it gives me great hope! i see the environment as connecting us all

[08:47] Chris14: Thank you very much Sarah, thank you everyone.

[08:48] Peter Frank Womack: Peace, sarah. Thank you for facilitating this.

 [08:48] francisco: Thanks Sarah

[08:48] shazia: balochistan is a place where we face lack of water

[08:48] sarah from california, us: i hope you all will continue to participate in our next chats. i think the next month we will be celebrating the Indigenous Cosmovision - so Francisco we will very much hope to have you there again! and maybe other youths from your circle?
