Greetings
August 6 brought unprecedented natural calamity to the people of Ladakh in which loss of life and property took place. People are in shock. They are struck dumb with horror. No one ever heard about such heavy down pour in such a arid zone like Ladakh.In fact whole of the western himalayan region is facing with unususal rain fall causing flood and devastation. But the worst effected area is the Leh and its surrounding ares.In this difficult time everyone of our URI family stand with their grief and share their suffering.
In the memory of those who are not with us today and those who are still in traumtic condition let us hold interfaith prayer and light a candle individually or collectively at home or in any public place whenever such accident takes place anywhere on the earth.
On tenth members of URI alongwith the ladakhi students of Delhi Univesity holding such prayer in the Unversity campus and hope many will join us. We also expect HH Dalai Lama may join us as he is very much herein Delhi University. May peace prevail upoun Ladakh and all over the Earth.
