Father James Channan, Regional Coordinator for Pakistan, attended a meeting on inter-religious harmony with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and religious leaders and scholars from all over Pakistan. According to Father Channan, the meeting was “very enriching, encouraging, inspiring and productive. [The President] highly appreciated our dialogue and peace and urged us to do more in our country as we are confronted with serious problems of violence, intolerance, fanaticism and terrorism.” President Zardari has indicated plans to hold more such meetings in the future.
