The literary, musical and artistic event was held around the UK book release of Paul-Gordon Chandler’s new book titled, "IN SEARCH OF A PROPHET: A Spiritual Journey with Kahlil Gibran."
Co-hosted by the Embassy of the Lebanese Republic in the UK, the evening featured an exclusive premiere of songs from the forthcoming Gibran West End musical “Broken Wings,” written by actor, singer, and songwriter Nadim Naaman, and composer Dana Al Fardan, and produced by Ali Matar, based on Gibran's novella by the same title (provided by The Peace and Prosperity Trust and performed by artists of the Trust).
Paul-Gordon Chandler, CARAVAN’s Founding President, gave a lecture presentation titled “Khalil Gibran: An Unparalleled Guide for Our Times,” taking the audience on a fascinating journey through all-embracing spirituality of Khalil Gibran. He shared how the life and writings of Gibran, as a supreme East-West figure, can be a much-needed guide for our times, related to peace, harmony and the building of bridges between the cultures and creeds of the Middle East and West.
The program was followed by a book-signing and reception. The event was held under an artwork installation titled “Suspended” by CARAVAN artist Arabella Dorman that powerfully highlights the current crisis of forced displacement across the world.
