Joy Foundation organized a program on the topic “Significance of Peaceful Co-existence” which was supported by Christian Study Centre. The participants included lawyers, teachers, poets, religious leaders, community leaders and officials from the health department, the media, the rescue department and people from different organizations.
The program started with the recitations from the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible. After that, introductions of both Joy Foundation and Christian Study Centre were presented.

The first speaker was Maulana Talha Shah, who shared his thoughts on the concept of peaceful co-existence in Islam. After that, Pastor Ehtesham Buta presented his thoughts on the concept of peaceful co-existence in Christianity. Rana Khalid spoke on the role of media in the promotion of peacebuilding and interfaith harmony.
After the speakers, Peace Poetry was recited. Mr. Manzar Phallauri presided over the poetry. Twelve poets presented their poetry, which was related to peace.
After the poetry, Mrs. Fehmida Saleem (Program Manager, Christian Study Centre) shared her thoughts on the “significance of peaceful co-existence.”
At the end of the program, Mrs. Shazia Yaqoob (Chairperson, Joy Foundation) thanked all the participants, the cluster organizations and especially Christian Study Centre for their support and cooperation.
