These encouraging videos show a group in São Paulo, Brazil, who met to celebrate and enact the principles of World Interfaith Harmony Week.
According to its website, "The World Interfaith Harmony Week will fall on the first week of February of every year. [It] seeks to spread the message of harmony and tolerance among the followers of all the world’s religions, faiths and beliefs. It seeks to do this by promoting their common basis of “Love of God and Love of the Neighbor, or Love of the Good and Love of the Neighbor”. Its message invites everyone, excludes no one, and is purely voluntary."
Marly Pedra, who is a spiritualist and the coordinator of Fé Menina CC, introduces the first video with a brief explanation of World Interfaith Harmony Week. In both videos, diverse members of the group share their purposes and hopes. Many emphasize the unity of humanity and the necessity of working together for harmonious relationships between people and the planet.
The URI community was involved with many celebrations around the world. Read more about those here.
