In URI's Southern African Region, the Linda Tucker Foundation - a URI Cooperation Circle based in Limpopo, South Africa - works tirelessly to protect the extremely rare white lions.
Because the fragile ecosystem is interconnected, a threat to the lions also presents a threat to other species (both plant and animal) that share the same habitat. The URI members in this Cooperation Circle are working to raise awareness and resources to protect the entire ecosystem through building understanding and cooperation between humans and all living beings.
