At the Parliament of the World’s Religions this year, many beautiful connections were made within URI as well as in the larger interfaith global community. In this photo, Frederica Helmiere, Regional Coordinator for the URI Multiregion (which comprises 64 Cooperation Circles with members in more than one region or with endeavors global in scope), has her arms around two members from RISE (Revivers of Indigenous Spirituality and Ecosystems), a Multiregion Cooperation Circle.
Meeting Marie Nazon and Gina Martin in person was a wonderful opportunity to collaborate and discuss future plans. Their encounter reinforced the importance of the URI network as Regional Coordinators connect Cooperation Circle members with similar organizations around the world.
RISE Cooperation Circle works to join and support fellow Indigenous and Pagan spiritual leaders in reviving and empowering earth-based wisdom traditions to survive and serve future generations.
