Sadeh is a Zoroastrian festival celebrating warmth and light driving away the darkness of winter. Many Zoroastrians celebrate by building large, festive bonfires, holding hands and dancing around the fire and celebrating the approach of spring, the triumph of goodness over evil, and the preciousness of all creation. The tradition is rich in history and traces its roots all the way back to the first Persian empire.
