Sadeh is a Zoroastrian festival celebrating warmth and light driving away the darkness of winter. Many Zoroastrians celebrate by building large, festive bonfires, holding hands and dancing around the fire and celebrating the approach of spring, the triumph of goodness over evil, and the preciousness of all creation. The tradition is rich in history and traces its roots all the way back to the first Persian empire.
Learning about each other’s traditions is an important part of how the URI global community builds friendships and understanding. Find out more about our Cooperation Circles here.
