In January 2019, seven young leaders from URI North America participated in a two-day visit to the United Nations. They attended a symposium co-sponsored by URI and met with officials from the Office of Genocide Prevention, the government of the Philippines, experts on nuclear issues, Indigenous Elders, and other strong voices in the field of peacebuilding.
"Being at the United Nations, I felt like it was the place between reality and hope," observed Maliha Sheikh, who is a member of Interfaith Café (a URI Cooperation Circle based in Florida). All seven participants have shared their experiences with written reflections, photos, and video. See them all here.
