On March 21, just at noon in the Gardens of the House of Ecuadorian Culture in Quito, a ceremony was held to welcome the New Year.
In this ceremony, the Taita Inti, the Pachamama, were thanked for life, the air, the fruits of the earth, friendship, joy. There were prayers, dances, and songs. It ended with hugs and toasting with corn chicha, traditional drink of the natives.
We shared a beautiful ceremony that helped us give thanks for life and learn from ancestral cultures.
