On June 25, during an international URI gathering in the San Francisco Bay Area (CA, USA), members of URI North America member groups (called Cooperation Circles) gathered at the Mercy Center in Burlingame to form meaningful connections and share their peacebuilding work with their peers.
In this activity on June 25, about 120 participants wrote down the topics that are especially meaningful to them and wore them to visibly represent the direction of their work. Topics included areas like women’s empowerment, youth engagement, and environmental sustainability. This helped participants find likeminded peacebuilders and discuss targeted approaches to improving the world across a wide spectrum of topics.
