Maria Crespo, URI Director of Cooperation Circle Support, gives a short presentation about URI during the Encounter of Youth of Faith event, which was organized by the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints for their annual youth leadership event.
In it, she explains that URI is an organization that promotes that people of different faiths and traditions do things together. Working with a common purpose for the wellbeing of their community brings people closer, and there is no fit for religiously-motivated violence. Generalizations, stereotypes and prejudices fall away when people get to know each other, and this creates cultures of peace, justice and healing.
