Congratulations to Naveed Hameed, the founder of Faiz Resource Foundation (a URI member group in Pakistan), for being featured by the US Consulate General Lahore for his work!
On the US Consulate General Lahore Facebook page, they wrote:
Naveed Hameed is a digital storyteller, who founded Pakistan's first android/iOS-based smartphone digital storytelling platform - Kahani Sunao. Naveed initiated peace intervention projects, where he trained youth from marginalized communities and low-income areas in video making and digital media. In recognition of Naveed's community services, his story was also featured in a U.S. international journal. Later, after completing his fellowship with United States Institute of Peace (USIP), he was selected as a USIP's facilitator to educate and empower youth in conflict regions.
Faiz Resource Foundation is a youth-led, media-based, non-profit organization in Lahore, Pakistan. The group has developed Pakistan's first digital Photovoice storytelling platform, which empowers community members to bring change through technology communication and digital storytelling for peacebuilding and interfaith harmony. The platform guides youth through a digital process to develop narratives and perceptions which will help to promote religious tolerance, diversity and peaceful co-existence in Pakistan and the world.
