Shritama Roy, the youngest member of Madhukunda Association for Peace (MAP), a URI member group in East India, shares a song over Facebook video to connect with and energize people during the isolation of lockdown. Biswadeb Chakraborty, URI National India Team Coordinator and Regional Coordinator for East India, accompanies her voice with his drumming in a virtual, shared performance.
He noted how difficult it was to synchronize the beats as the two separate music recordings were superimposed onto each other, but expressed thanks for the technology that made it possible. "Her profound voice energiz[es] the connections during this time of lockdown," Biswadeb posted with the video. "Please bless her."
