Our network in action! Several URI Cooperation Circles (member groups) in Europe have come together to create interfaith coloring books for children. The books, which showcase different religions, are an important educational resource for young children learning about their peers from different cultures. Udhetim i Lire - Liberi di Viaggiare, a URI member group in Albania, has been distributing the books to children in underserved Roma and Egyptian communities to much enthusiasm and gratitude.
Baraza CC published the books with support from URI Europe CC. The distribution, as well as translation into Albanian, Bosnian and North Macedonian languages, is also a joint effort with Youth for Peace CC and Balkan as a Soul Bridge CC in Bosnia and Herzegovina; and Community Center Tetovo (CDI) CC in North Macedonia. The URI network enables projects like these to spread and benefit a wide range of people.
