December 16th was Reconciliation Day in South Africa. It's a public holiday brought about as a reminder of the unity and reconciliation we strive for in our country. It calls us to recognise the violence of the past, to confront the reality of the lasting legacy of division, and strive for deeper reconciliation amongst everyone. Learn more about the history of the day.
I wanted to share with you all a short video made by the young people who are part of two URI Cooperation Circles (member groups), the Cape Town Interfaith Initiative and the GOAL Trust. In this video they are sharing what Reconciliation means to them, which I hope will be inspiration for us all in our work. Enjoy!
Much appreciation,
Sarah Oliver
