Hello everyone,

Greetings of peace, strength and good health for this new year! With all the challenges that surround us, I hope to provide some inspiration in your inbox, with this list of awesome upcoming events for the next two weeks, featuring and/or led by young people in the URI network. Please show your support and feel welcome to share with others too :) 

Tuesday 19th Jan, 8am PT - Global Interfaith Prayer for Healing: Please join Emina Frljak (Youth for Peace CC, Bosnia & Herzegovina), Vasu Bandu (Fraternidad Interspiritual CC, Mexico) and Izzy Ben Ebrahim (GOAL CC, South Africa), along with four other young young religious and spiritual leaders in reflecting on the new year and all it brings.

Friday 22nd Jan - Youth Climate Adaptation Conference: For all our climate activists, this promises to be an amazing gathering of speakers, presentations, interactive workshops and games! Featuring Kehkashan Basu from Green Hope Foundation CC. Find out more here.  

Tues 26th Jan - 7th Annual Symposium on the Role of Religion and Faith-based Organizations in International Affairs: URI Multiregion RC, Samira Barucija will be moderating a discussion as part of the special event, focusing on Accelerating Gender Equality, Equity and Justice. Link to Register.

Wed 27th Jan, 4pm CET / 8.30pm IST: Join the first URI Youth Connection Cafe of the year! Hosted this month by One Billion Youth for Peace, we’re going to be talking about our visions for peace and what peace looks like in reality. (note: this event is specifically for anyone under the age of 35) Register here. 

Sat 30th Jan, 2pm GMT - Everything You Treasure: The URI Global Youth CC brings you this special event, focusing on learning more about the devastating impact of nuclear weapons in our society. Hear stories and experiences from young people across the world. More details to come!
