To commemorate the importance of International Women's Day, Dora Pereira, a member of COEMATI (a URI member group), organized a talk for her group of students.
She taught them the historical importance of this date and how social struggles have placed women in important positions within societies. She also stressed the importance of unity in diversity and the male and female gender as complementary in the universe.
