Last Wednesday, March 17, 2021, María Eva Cayú, a member of the CC AFLAIAI (a URI member group in Chile), shared great news. As a declaration of social, cultural and community interest, the "Mapuche Cuisine, Southern Flavor" was approved!
Before the Municipality, the project was presented to achieve the preservation of traditional Mapuche cuisine and thus contribute to the collective memory, culture, and generational transmission.
The members of CC Aflaiai are very happy about this achievement for the Mapuche people.
