Kavita, a young girl from Khushipura, faced significant challenges growing up in a conservative environment where girls were often discouraged from pursuing their education and dreams. She dropped out of school at the mere age of 13 years due to Covid-19 and the family’s lack of support.
Despite these obstacles, Kavita joined the Sahasi Girls program and actively participated in various workshops and mentorship sessions. She inspired the Sahas Foundation to begin ‘Education for Girls’ program.
She got admission and the necessary support to restart her education in a school nearby village. Kavita took on a leadership role within the program, inspiring other girls to pursue their education and stand up for their rights.
Today, she is not only excelling academically but also leading community mobilization for the Sahasi Girls program.
Kavita’s story is a testament to the transformative power of education and empowerment, showcasing how determined individuals can drive significant social change in their communities.
