URI is excited to announce an exciting partnership with Women's Earth Alliance (WEA) to create The Ripple Academy, which will unleash a global cadre of women leaders allied to forge and amplify solutions for peace, justice, and environmental healing in communities around the world.
The Ripple Academy will bring together the best of URI’s and WEA’s grassroots leadership models, offering a coordinated training experience to equip leading changemakers with the skills, tools, and alliances they need to build bridges of cooperation and environmental solutions for generations to come. Expect to see projects like women’s clean cookstove microenterprises in Kenya, community seed banks in Egypt, sanitation efforts in India, or water rights in Jordan, Israel, and Palestine.
About Women's Earth Alliance (WEA)
WEA equips women with the skills and tools they need to protect the earth and strengthen communities from the inside out. They work with local leaders who build up other leaders. With local leadership guiding each WEA project, they design capacity-building trainings where women access skills and tools in appropriate technology, entrepreneurship, and advocacy.
