Den Hague is a multicultural and multireligious city. Lots of people have arrived to this city from different countries, and also war zones, from all over the world, and they are trying to rebuild their life there.
People live together but there are expressed prejudices, stereotypes, non-tolerance and, in some cases, hate toward neighbors of different religious and national backgrounds. Members of Confidential Counsellors Segbroek the Hague NL think that promoting interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding is very important in their community. The group, which is quite new, is formed by social workers and people coming from other “helping” professions who are working as confidential counsellors to help people in their community. They are also helping other URI Cooperation Circles in Den Hague with their current projects and activities. Members want to help confidential counsellors to feel inspired and supported and even more equipped for their job. The group has organized InterVision and refresher courses for 30 confidential counsellors. Because they are coming from different religious and national backgrounds, and also working in multicultural societies, interfaith and intercultural work is a very important part of their activities and projects. Through their work, members of Confidential Counsellors Segbroek the Hague want to bring positive changes to their local
