The International Center for Leadership Development (ICLD) is a registered national non-governmental organization based in Lagos, Nigeria. It empowers the next generation of leaders with soft skills to enable them to realize their full potential that will bring change in their communities. ICLD also builds bridges through Interfaith Youth Initiatives, as well as provides social, psychological and material support to victims of violent conflicts in Nigeria. Members have organized: leadership training for high schools and the youth; internet safety awareness programs; and entrepreneurship training. Through the Internet Safety Awareness Program, participants acquire the relevant knowledge in the positive use of the internet and learn how they can protect themselves when they are online. ICLD gives the youth a strong foundation as they continue to surf the internet. Students who took part in the leadership training were empowered in taking ownership, responsibility and becoming accountable as citizens and leaders of today. The group also provides this support to orphans and works for peacebuilding in the community. Their hope is to see all societies devoid of hate, thereby helping love spread all over.
