Progressive Sheba Kendra - PSK brings about sustainable socio-economic changes in the livelihoods of the disadvantaged groups in Bangladesh by strengthening the capacity of community people and empowering the grassroots. Some of their highlights are the organization of Free Dental Camps, Eye Camps, Skill Development Trainings, Primary Health Care Project, Interfaith Schooling Program and workshops, lectures and seminars. Through advocacy, members of PSK raise voices of the extreme poor, women, children, people with disabilities, and deprived and marginalized people, establishing human rights. They also address the environmental issues in terms of climate change and global warming; they educate and support disadvantaged people for achieving their social, economic, and political rights; they strengthen the institutional capacities of the grassroots organizations and facilitate a sustainable community development process; and they operate an interfaith school for achieving inter-religious harmony in society.
