Utkranti Samta favors independent existence of each human being, removing generation gap between senior citizen and children. Members want individuals to achieve happiness, peace of mind, and contentment. They keep the senior citizen updated about the present for the sake of their mental health, raise awareness of women about their rights, give children a space outside school for developing confidence in themselves by learning about how to protect of the environment.
Founder and other members think that if they provide positive experiences for children through yoga and other subjects, they will absorb these values naturally and grow into great beings that understand the inequalities in society and get the strength to challenge them. They are sure “jai jagat” (translated as “victory of an inclusive and peaceful world”) will get absorb into these young minds subtly.
Also, they noticed that women didn’t get time for themselves during covid and no one realizes they also get tired, feel hungry, and need some space. The members began online initiatives for them for their mental health. They made them realize “Think About You, You Exist.” Discussions include first period, bra, right to pregnancy, taboos, social pressure, ‘maternity’ and the pressure around it, legal rights, etc. The groups they gathered in their work had a lot to share, their challenges; everyone had such painful experiences within their families. They provided a safe space, they started speaking, and developed confidence. They think that in their society, all doors for women are closed. They are grateful, they could open at least one. This helped women assert their existence in their own families.
