Voluntary Integrated Development Society (VIDS) Cooperation Circle is an NGO from the Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh, a state with a high risk of human hazards. VIDS organizes impressive activities with support from the central government and funding entities. Among them, they conduct financial literacy campaigns in drought affected areas, organize workshops on depositor education and awareness, and run a shelter for urban homeless in Guntakal Town. They have been selected as a nodal agency for national environment awareness campaigns and have been awarded an excellence certificate from MoEF & CC, Government of India. They organize skill upgrade training programs for women in drought-prone areas. They form farmer clubs, mobilize 500 artisans into 56 SHGs, and implement many interventions to promote eco-friendly handicrafts. Additionally, they organize seminars on the role of youth in the promotion of peace and communal harmony. As a resource agency, VIDS has prepared valuable IEC material.
