WAKE Women And Kids Education CC

This training for the women of Hasilpur has proven to help local women stand on their own feet.

URI Pakistan groups joined to bring together 26 people who were Muslim and Christian; male and female; adults and children. The participants talked to each other and shared their views about tolerance, peace, interfaith harmony, and equal rights for women.

This program included 35 women from a village 25 km from Faisalabad, Pakistan, where there are many victims of domestic violence among the women.

An award ceremony was held in the WAKE CC Vocational Centre in Joy Sha, Lahore on 18 December 2014. Diplomas were given to 32 women (28 Christian and 4 Muslims). 

The Women's and Kids' Education (WAKE) CC held an awareness event for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women in the Yohannabad area of Lahore, Pakistan.
