The proxy ballots of the eligible Cooperation Circles in the Southeast Asia and the Pacific Region have just been counted at the URI Global Office in San Francisco, CA (USA). Witnesses to the counting included Stephen Chow, Deepak Jagannath, Sally Mahé, Mark Mancao, and Regan Murphy.
Please offer a warm welcome to the URI Global Council, Jessiee Kaur Singh of the Centre of Melbourne Multi-Faith and Others Network (COMMON) CC in Australia. You may read her brief bio at http://www.uri.org/trusteeselection/seapac/candidates.html . Jessiee will join the other trustees on the Global Council at the next meeting in Amman, Jordan in June.
It is also worth mentioning that 73% of the certified CC's voted in this election. Kudos to the candidates, to Shakuntala Vaswani (Regional Coordinator), to the SEAPac Trustees, and to the certified CCs for achieving a good level of participation.
