Interfaith Peace Building on Natural Resources Management, a URI Cooperation Circle in Cambodia, conducted a community training session to educate participants about reconciliation and “Do No Harm” peacebuilding techniques to minimize conflicts and nurture safer, more peaceful communities.
The training took place in the Alliance for Conflict Transformation (ACT) office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and people from four different provinces (Kratie, Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang and Kampot Province) traveled to take part in it. They represented diverse backgrounds including Buddhism, Muslim, and Christian faiths, as well as government officials who wanted to learn more about this topic. Because the training took place on the United Nations International Women's Day, they held a small ceremony to give all female participants roses as a symbol of respect and appreciation (pictured).
