Day of Indigenous Women

4 September 2020

The International Day of Indigenous Women is a commemoration instituted in 1983 during the Second Meeting of Organizations and Movements of America, to focus attention on indigenous women, their history, their situation and their perspectives.

In our Latin American region we are committed to the dissemination of this commemoration in recognition of their struggles for cultural survival, respect and justice for their rights.
