In January, Youth for Peace organized a group of URI members to visit a community outside Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The gathering was a reflection of URI’s ongoing work with its member groups in Cambodia, and a chance to celebrate URI’s 20th anniversary, as well as to plan peacebuilding work for 2021.
The group walked in community to visit family. The monks and Muslims offered peaceful prayers and rituals to the spirits of those who were tortured and died tragically during the killing field time (Khmer Rouge).
