Today, inspired by Jerry White, URI’s Executive Director, and Karen Volker, Director of Partnerships and Violence Prevention, bold, visionary questions are being asked: What does it take to inspire daily actions, collective behaviors new ways of thinking about ending violence? How can we activate a global army of peacebuilders and warriors against violence?
“Let’s roll up our sleeves and start doing the hard work of not just imagining the world we want to see but also co-creating the action plan and initiatives that will lead us in that direction.”
“We don’t have to do it all by ourselves. There are many other networks and communities that share this vision for a world without violence. How can we be the spark that ignites the fire that leads to a world where violence is minimal, and healing can begin?” Karen Volker, Director of Partnership and Violence Prevention
His Grace Salika Dasa Adhikari, Global Council Trustee from Nigeria infuses spiritual energy to this quest.
“A visionary priority is emerging. Our URI visionary priority should not be a mere strategy but a sacred promise—a covenant with future generations. As we weave this dream of hope, let us remember that ending violence is not a choice; it is our collective duty. Together, we can create a world where violence is a distant memory. Together we co-create a world where love triumphs over hatred.”
